It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten a good manicure where my nails have lasted longer than 3 days. And I even get gel polish! I moved to a new city and state and live in a small town where there are a lot of salons but none that are AMAZING. I have opted to do my own nails because spending $40+ for nails to last only for a few days isn’t worth it. Enter Static Nails Press On!
**Don’t forget to check out my post on how to make your press-on nails last longer!
What Are Static Nails
Static Nails is a brand for nail polish and press-on nails.
Their ‘lacquer’ as they call it, is supposed to last 10+ days without chipping which is 3x longer wear than other brands.
They are more known for their press-on nails. Which is what I personally get. I have 6 sets and have re-worn 2 of them. They last on me about a week (7 days) and I am pretty rough on my nails. The glue is awesome and the nails are super good quality.
The Static Nails press on nails are anywhere from $14-$20 and comes with 24 nails, file, and nail glue. for the price and the fact that you can reuse them, they are worth it!
My Personal Review and Thoughts
My natural nails are pretty nice, but painting them with regular polish chips and I don’t have the patience to let them dry. I have an at-home gel kit but those don’t even last longer than a few days. I even feel like they are more damaging.
My personal favorite look on me is short, square nails. So I get the extra short length and the short length. You can cut and trim the nails if you don’t like the shape or the length. That’s what I do with the short style. You can choose from 4 different lengths, different shapes, and many colors/designs. They even have a custom set if you want to do something of your own.
The website has a variety of sizes in each set so you can find one that fits your nails the best. If you need to, you can also file them to get the perfect fit if there is one that is almost there but not quite right.
I even wore them throughout my labor and they stayed on through it all!

How To Remove Static Nails
After a while, the nails will pop off without damage. That is the way I would recommend taking them off. If you take them off too early and glue the crap out of them, they will be hard to rip off and could damage your real nail.
If you want to take them off early, soak them in as warm of water as you can stand. Then wiggle the nail back and forth. The nail will pop off when the right pressure is applied and the nail is ready to come off.
They recommend leaving the nail on for at least 4 days before trying to remove them for easy removal and for the least amount of damage.
How To Reuse The Nails
All I do in order to reuse the nails are make sure they are clean and still in decent shape. Sometimes I need to file the edges a bit or add a clear coat over the top.
Make sure you scrape off the old glue from the press on nail for a new, clean surface. I just use tweezers or eyebrow scissors to pop off the glue. You can also file it if you want.
I know you will love Static Nails if you get them. Get them through this link to get $5 off your first order.
Let me know if you get them and how you like them!
