I got into using a hair turban towel about a year and a half ago when I was researching how to prevent damaged hair. I found that when your hair is wet and you put it in a regular towel, that can really damage your hair.
How You Might Ask?
The fibers of a regular body drying towel are rough on your already fragile wet hair and cause friction that can lead to breakage. The weight of the towel on your head can cause tension on your hair that can either pull it out (around your hairline) or pull on your hair strands stretching them which can lead to breakage and/or split ends.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to use it or even like it, so one day I went to Marshalls and picked one up. You can literally find them anywhere nowadays. It’s just a microfiber one with a loop on one end and a button to secure it on the other.
I have used it every time I have washed my hair since. It has helped my hair grow, be healthier, and it’s much more comfortable and convenient to wear instead of a regular towel.
The one I have has held up but it’s time to invest in a little bit better one since I know I will use it. I personally think you only need one but if you want more, go for it. I have been fine using one for over a year.
What Are The Benefits Of A Hair Turban Towel?
- Help dry your hair
- Protect hair when wet
These two simple benefits can help the health of your hair. By helping dry your hair, you can put less heat on it leading to less heat damage that can result in dry hair, split ends, and breakage.
Protecting your hair when wet, will prevent your hair from snagging and pulling when it’s most fragile which can lead to breakage and split ends as well.
