White dresses are a necessity in your closet because you can style them so many different ways. Here are just a few ways to style a white summer dress for honestly any season or weather.
I’ve linked variations of my pieces below each outfit inspo, but check out this blog post of my favorite affordable places to shop.
My White Summer Dress
The dress I am wearing is from Target last year (Summer 2020) from the Knox brand. Its eyelet, lined, has a slight drop waist and sleeves.
A dress like this is super casual but you can easily dress it up or really dress it down with different shoes and accessories.
Find a style that works for your lifestyle and personal style. There are so many out there
Here are a bunch of white summer dress options that are affordable (under $65) that are versatile.
Denim Jacket & Flatfroms
This is my uniform for spring with really any dress, but especially with white dresses.
Denim jackets are always a staple and a flatform gives you height but are super easy to walk in. I wore these exact shoes in Italy while walking around the city and night and I never tripped!
Also, if you don’t have a hat like this. YOU. NEED. ONE! So spring and summer and the ones from Target are adjustable. You can wear them to the beach or on the water and it won’t fly off because you can really tighten it to stay on your head.
Tan Cardigan & Loafers
I love cardigans and throwing them over a dress adds some warmth on those chilling spring evenings.
I paired the look with flat, slide on loafers that are white to tie in the dress, but if you want to go for a tan pair to match the cardi or even black, that would look cute too.
Chunky Sandals & a Belt
If a dress is too flowy, adding a belt can help emphasize your shape better. Make sure it is a stretchy belt to can get a little smaller size so it will actually stay on your waist.
Try to match your shoes to your belt to give a cohesive look, but of course, you can do whatever you want.
My actually shoes are the brand Qupid and are a few years old but the ones below are a great option.
White Sneakers & Neck Scarf
White sneakers are a must in everyone’s closet. But ones that are slim and can be worn with jeans or a dress like these.
A neck scarf can also be used as a hair accessory or added to a bag to give it a new look. The tip is to get long, thin scarves, not square ones. They are usually called bag scarves which you can find on Amazon, but I linked one from Target that is slim and they have a bunch of different prints.
Sweater Blazer & Clog Sandals
I never had clog sandals until this year and I’m obsessed! They seriously look cute with ANYTHING. They add that thing that’s missing.
Mine are from Target on major clearance and did have to break them in for 1 day but after that they are really comfortable. I have some others linked as well.
I also paired it with a sweater blazer or you could wear a regular blazer too, but I linked some sweater vest options.
And you can’t forget a headband. This one dressed the look up even more if you need that. Pearls to me equal elegance.
Headband & Oxfords
Oxfords can make a casual dress or outfit look more business casual. I have these from Walmart from last year so keep a look out for them maybe next year but I’ve linked similar ones.
I also like this neutral ‘wicker’ type headband that gives it a ‘natural’ look but really any headband elevates a look.
Utility Jacket & Vans
When it’s colder (or rainy) we need a jacket and a fitting utility jacket is a must. You could choose any color but for me, I personally like olive green. I recommend one with a cinched waist to emphasize your waist.
You can definitely wear just plain white sneakers but I love the look of the classic Vans with dresses. I just like to be comfortable so a comfy shoe is my go to with all these outfits.
