Whether you have hair growth from postpartum or just growing your hair in general, you are probably running into baby hairs. They sprout up, stick up, and can throw off your vibe. Here are my baby hairs must-haves to keep them tamed, fill in spots while they grow back, and help grow your hair in general.
Hair Growth From Your Scalp
To start, if you are looking to grow your hair, get a healthy scalp, or thicken up your hair, you need a good scalp serum. For more on scalp health, check out this blog post.
The one I love and have used for the last 6 months is Divi Offical!
It’s a good price, is all-natural, and is water based so you can use it on freshly clean hair or during the week without it making your hair look and feel greasy.
You need to apply 3/4 of the dropper where you want your hair to grow around your head and massage it in.
You also need to use it consistently, every day to see results.
Hair Mascara – Tame the Baby Hairs
There are a lot of hair mascaras out there but I have used this one from Amazon for the longest time.
In a pinch, I used brow gel, but it didn’t last as long.
This one is nice because it holds it but doesn’t make it feel crunchy after you take your hair out. Does it last all day? I would say if you are just working then yes, but if you are sweating, I wouldn’t count on it.
For all-day security, use the hair mascara, spray some hair spray, then use the spooly that comes with the hair mascara to tame the baby hairs again.
Root & Bald Spot Touch Up
For those spots that are sparse, or if you have a light scalp but darker hair, you might want to achieve a fuller-looking hairline.
Enter, the Color WOW Root Touch Up!
All you do is tap in the product where your hair is thinner or non-existent and it provides a little coverage and color.
You could use an eyeshadow but there are so many shades to choose from to match your hair to help it blend seemlessly.
Those are my go to products to control your baby hairs, help them grow, and fill in the bald spots that can come from them.
What tips or products do you use?
